The purpose of the study was to determine the seroprevalance of brucellosis in the adolescent and adult population in Yazir Village, Kocasinan, Kayseri. The villagers earned their living with stockbreeding. Rose Bengal Slide Test (RBPT) and Standart Tube Agglutination Test (STAT) were used for investigating brucella antibodies. Among all the 211 persons Brucella antibodies were detected in 29 (13.7%) with STAT and 31 (14.6%) with RBPT. In 27 cases both STAT and RBP tests, in 4 cases only RBPT, and 2 cases only STAT were found positive.
