Brucellosis is primarily a disease of herbivorous animals. The humans are secondarily affected by bucellosis. Brucellosis is an endemic disease especially in Mediterranean countries, Middle and South America and Turkey. The disease may present with broad spectrum manifestations and involves many systems like cardiovascular, hematopoetic, skeletal, nervous, cutaneous and gastrointestinal systems. The main purpose of brucellosis treatment is to decrease symptoms, reduce complications, and prevent relapses. Although there are different treatment regimens in complicated brucellosis, optimal treatment regimen is not yet clear.
