Although toxic schock syndrome due to Staphylococcus aureus is often assoiated with menstruation, it has been reported that there are some cases without menstruation. In this report, two cases, a 45-year-old female and a 38-year-old male, with nonmenstrual toxic shock syndrome are presented. Stahylococcus aureus was isolated from the right hand of the first patient and from the abscess in the neck region of the second patient. Both patients were successfully treated with antimicrobial agents. As these cases have revealed, in patients with shock and eruptions the toxic shock syndrome should be consiedered in the differantial diagnosis.
