The vaginal infections among pregnant women are quite important in terms of maternal and neonatal complications. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of causative agents of vaginitis in pregnants. The vaginal wipe samples from 229 pregnant women were examined, and it was observed that 42.3% of the subjects had agents for vaginal infection. The agent distribution was as follows: in 34% Candida spp., in 3.4% Trichomonas vaginalis and 0.4% Group B streptococci. Of the pregnants 11.9% had bacterial vaginosis (BV). The combination of BV and Candida was observed in 6.6%, while the combination of BV and TV was in 0.4%. During the routine examination of pregnants examining the vaginal wipe samples is essential in order to determine the type of treatment required to prevent the possible complications.
